TOWER an installation in collaboration with the Pelvis and Mantra Orchestra. May 2001 A 13-foot installation made from scrap metal and discarded windows; Tower reflected the buildings surrounding the site and comments on our view of the natural world as we experience it from behind glass and frames (inside buildings, cars etc). Inside the tower, vegetation was encouraged to grow, destined to eventually engulf and ‘ re-claim’ the structure
At the opening on May 3rd 2001, a group of musicians gathered to improvise music in response to the piece. Recordings were made along with video and visual documentation.
